Box Construction

  • 3/4" Red Oak plywood
  • Spar varnish finish (no finished in photo)
  • Synthrotek 84 HP rails with threaded nut strips (both come in pairs)
  • 18-3/8" Wide, 84HP
  • 6-1/2" tall, 3U
  • 4-3/4" deep
  • Glued together/clamped
    • Didn't use screws
  • Did not use 1/4-20 screws, drilled small holes into back of rails and screwed rails down w/ wood screws
  • Rails are flush to box edges
  • Next one
    • Screw in rails, power supply, power strip before gluing up box
